Alameda Kiwanis Foundation Grants

 

 

Grant Eligibility Criteria

A

Grants will be made primarily to organizations that serve the Alameda community and are exempt under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3).  The Foundation Grants Committee may request an IRS Form 990 from any organization whose tax exempt status is unclear.

B Grants may also be made to support Alameda High School Key Club, Encinal High School Key Club, Kiwanis International Foundation, Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha District Foundation, and any other organization sponsored by the Alameda Kiwanis Club in order to promote the Objects of Kiwanis.
C No grant shall be made to a political or profit-making organization.
D All grants must comply with all applicable Federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations and must not jeopardize the tax-exempt status of the Alameda Kiwanis Foundation.
E Except for scholarships, grants will normally not be made to, nor for the benefit of, specific individuals.
